How do students use iTunesU
From Wiki Podcasting
1. Login to D2L and go to the appropriate course site.
2. Select the link to iTunesU from the widget on the right side.
3. UW Oshkosh's iTunesU site will open in iTunes. If you get a message (such as "External protocol request") select Launch application or other appropriate option to allow iTunes to launch.
4. Select your college's or department's link...
5. ... then your course link (most links include the instructor's last name along with the course title).
6. At the course page, all available podcasts will be listed. They may be named by the date and time they were recorded or your instructor may have renamed them to reflect the week, topic, section, etc.
7. To download a single track, select the Get button at it's far right.
or to listen immediately, select the arrow
8. To subscribe to the course podcasts so that you do not have to return to this page to see if any new ones have been posted, select the Subscribe button near the upper left.
9. To listen to the podcasts or to see if new ones have been put in, go to Podcasts in the upper left.
10. Then select your course from your list of podcasts. Select the arrow in front to open it up (will be a right facing arrow then turn to the down facing arrow once selected).
11. Listen to a podcast by double-clicking on it's title.
12. If you have not downloaded a podcast, you can do so from here with the Get button.
13. By default, iTunes will check for new podcasts once a week. If your class meets more often or your instructor has indicated s/he will post new podcasts more frequently, you can manually check by right-clicking on the podcast (course) title and selecting Update podcast. Or you can change the frequency by going to Preferences: Podcasts.
