Four cable channels, 64 through 67, are available to distribute video programming to all classrooms, some meeting rooms in Reeve Union, and all dormitory rooms.

Programming can originate from prerecorded sources or satellite downlink. Licenses for some satellite videoconference or prerecorded material may restrict broadcast over the campus video network.

Programming broadcast over the campus video network is available to any receiver connected to a datajack in any classroom or dormitory room. It cannot be restricted to specific rooms.

Many classrooms have installed video equipment, but it may not be connected to the cable. Video moniters can be delivered to any classroom. Check with the appropriate Instructional Technology Services Center.

Live broadcast from on campus

It is possible to broadcast live from most classrooms to the campus video network. Special technical and staffing needs for this type of event would require significant advance planning and would involve additional charges.
