This process is completely optional. Any instructor is welcome to ignore this process and enter their grades in TitanWeb manually.

When grades are due, you can send your final grades from D2L to TitanWeb. Please note that this is not an automatic process and it does require a number of steps. It will take about 15 minutes to complete (including waiting time). The process is not finished until you submit the grades to the registrar from your TitanWeb roster.

Who do I contact for help? Contact us (x2210) if you have any questions on grade schemes or any other issue pertaining to this grading process.

When can I transfer my D2L grades to TitanWeb? You can transfer grades from your D2L course to TitanWeb any time during the open grading window at the end of the class session until the grades are officially posted by the registrar. Refer to the e-Grading Calendar for specific dates.

Can I transfer my grades more than once? Yes, you can transfer grade files from D2L as often as you like until the course grades are posted in TitanWeb. Each time you import grades, they replace previously existing grades. Remember, it might take as long as eight minutes before the new grades are ready in SIS; wait for the email.

What if I have multiple sections in my D2L course? If you had us combine your sections in D2L, when you export grades from a D2L course all grades for all sections go. Each section in TitanWeb picks up the appropriate students and grades. If you manually added students to your D2L site, grades for them will not be transferred to TitanWeb. You will have to manually enter their grades.

What if my D2L course has more than one instructor? Any instructor in a D2L course can initiate the grade export process. However, only the instructor with grading access will receive the confirmation email and can go to the course grade roster in TitanWeb, import D2L grades, finalize, and submit the grades.

What if I unenroll a student from my D2L course? Don't do this. The last grade that student had will go into the SIS. To make things worse, there's nothing to draw attention to this in SIS so it's likely to go through unnoticed. Let unenrollments be taken care of through the enrollment integration process.

Can I use a grade scheme that I create in more than one D2L course? Yes, but you must copy it into each courses. See How do I setup a grade scheme for more information.

Can I create a new grade scheme in D2L that I use only for the final grade? Absolutely. See How do I setup a grade scheme for more information.

I’ve exported grades from D2L; why do I not see the “Import D2L Grades” button on the TitanWeb grade roster? Be sure you have waited several minutes (10-15) before checking for this button. You will receive a confirmation message as well. If neither appear, export your grades again.

How do I change grades after importing them into the TitanWeb grade roster? Until your grades are in a posted status in TitanWeb, you have two options for changing grades: 1) Make your changes to the final grade roster in TitanWeb only, or 2) Make your changes in your D2L gradebook and repeat the entire Export/Import process. If you repeat the entire process, any changed grades from your D2L course will overwrite the grades in TitanWeb.
