You can create links to other web pages anywhere you have the editor--news, content, discussions, etc.

  1. Open the web page to which you want to link in a separate tab or window. Copy the URL/address.
  2. In the Content Editor, select image:Advancedtab.gif Advanced tab at the top of the editor.
  3. Write your text. When you get to the point at which you want to link to a webpage, select image:Quicklink.gif QuickLink, near the end of the second row of icons at the top of the editor.
  4. In the popup window, select the category dropdown menu and choose URL.

  5. The window will refresh.
  6. Remove the http:// from the URL field. (Note, do not remove the http:// if you are typing in your URL. It must be there, but only once.) image:qldetails.gif
  7. Paste your URL/address in the URL field. image:qllink.gif
  8. Enter the link caption. This is the text readers will select to go to the web page. Be relevant--don't use click here or the page's URL. Describe the web page, just like other web sites do when linking.

  9. Leave the option for where it opens in to the default: Same Frame for ease of use and accessibility.
  10. Select Insert in the lower right.
  11. Your link caption will appear where your cursor was.
