In 8.3, you can change the role of anyone in your course. So, for instance, if you accidentally add someone as an instructor and they really should be a student you can change this instead of asking AnnMarie to. You cannot change the role of someone added via integration; they will return to their original role overnight.
- Go to Classlist.
- Find the user(s) you wish to change and select the checkbox in front of their name.
- Select the
Change enrollments icon.
- Change the role dropdown menu to the appropriate role. If changing multiple people, use the dropdown menu at the top to change all roles at once.
- Guest Lecturers can add content, participate in discussions, and see content. They cannot see the gradebook and they cannot delete content.
- Learning assistants (aka TAs or GAs) can do everything instructors can do except delete entire grade items.
- Observers can view course content and discussions. They cannot participate in the course and do not have access to any course management.
- NonOshInstructor and NonOshStudent should not be used.
- Student Guest has the same access as a student except they cannot take quizzes and do not appear in the gradebook.
- Select Save at the bottom right.
