How do I make my course available to students

Your students automatically have access to a course from the first day of the semester until 2 weeks after the last day (for non-semester courses, first/last day of the class as listed in TW). You may wish to give access for a longer or shorter period of time. We strongly encourage giving access before the first day of the course! NOTE: Starting in August 2008, newly-created courses will automatically be available to students one week before the first day of classes.
- In the upper right, select the link Edit Course.
- Select Course Offering Information, the first link.
- If you want students to see the course prior to the first day of classes, change the Start date.
- Make sure the Active? box is checked. If it isn't, students will NOT see the course on their homepage.
- Select Save.
Availability dates are over-ridden by IsActive. If the checkbox next to IsActive is not checked, students do not have access even if it is within the start/end dates. Make sure IsActive is checked if you want students to get in.
